Here are some of our most Frequently Asked Questions. Please take a moment to read these, and if you still have questions, feel free to call us. We would love to answer any questions you might have!
Q: Do I need an appointment? A: We highly recommend appointments, especially for bridal customers. Because we are a bridal salon and not a "big box chain store", we usually only have one gown per style. Therefore, we only service one bride at a time so that our brides can see all our gowns at their discretion, and they get one-on-one attention and service. If you do not have an appointment and we are already working with a bride, you will not be able to try on! Registration is required prior to trying on bridal gowns.
Q: Who should I bring to my appointment? A: You may not feel comfortable choosing a wedding gown by yourself, so please come prepared! Bring your mother, your maid of honor, or someone else whose judgment you trust. But don't bring everyone in the wedding party--too many people means too many opinions which can lead to confusion and wasted time.
Q: Can I bring my children? A: If you've been in our store more than once or twice, you've probably seen our own little ones walking around talking to customers... but they are used to the environment and know the rules! Most weddings involve children at some point in time, and we do welcome them, but PLEASE use discretion! If you are coming to find a wedding gown, a child may distract you or other customers from this very important mission! Also, bridal shops are not very interesting to children, and there are items in the store that not only must be handled with great care, but that may hurt a child if he/she is left unattended. If you are able to make the visit without your child(ren), we kindly ask that you do so.
Q: Do you rent bridesmaid dresses? A: No. The only things for rent in the salon are tuxedos and crinolines.
Q: How long will it take to get my dress once it is ordered? A: Most bridal and bridesmaid orders take approximately 14 weeks to come in once ordered. Many orders may be rushed at an additional charge. We recommend that you order your bridal gown at least 6 months in advance of your wedding and bridesmaids at least 5 months in advance.
Q: Do you do alterations on-site? A: We keep a list of qualified seamstresses from Frankfort and surrounding areas and allow you to pick the one that suits your needs and budget. They do not operate in our salon.
Q: What do I do for my bridesmaid/groomsman that lives out of town? A: Bridesmaids can use our Out-of-Town Bridesmaid form, fill out their information, then fax or mail it to us. Groomsmen who cannot be measured here must be measured by another tuxedo provider (please don't try to do this yourself!) and send in their information. Our tuxedo company, Jim's Formal Wear, has a form that you can print out and use.
Q: What do I owe at the time of order? A: All orders except for bridal require full payment at the time of order. For bridal orders, we require a 60% deposit at the time of order and the rest when the gown arrives.
Q: What is your refund/exchange policy? A: All sales are final. This is standard policy in the bridal industry.
